Compassion:
Rapid-action Humanitarian Aid
RAPID HUMANITARIAN AID
Give them not only the groceries but also the seeds.
Natacha Merritt
President, Compound Eyes
When the full scale Ukraine war started Compound Eyes swiftly responded. We deployed heavy machinery, evacuated thousands from danger zones and provided crucial help for children impacted by the war.
But as the war dragged on, and the world suffered through the hottest summer on record globally, it became clear that another kind of war for natural resources would get worse. With habitable areas rapidly shrinking, how do you prepare for this? Biodiversity knowledge, and subsequently action, is urgent.
The war in Ukraine started just as mother nature challenged the planet like never before. Humanitarian aid can and must be accompanied by support for stewardship of a habitable planet. Water filters, solar powered generators, and satellite connectivity can provide urgent survival solutions while also creating a model for a more sustainable future.
RECENT HUMANITARIAN ACTION
On the ground in disaster zones
Compound Eyes believes rapid action when it comes to humanitarian intervention. We believe in providing communities the tools to survive and thrive.
We provide the means to evacuate civilians from danger, and to supply isolated villages with humanitarian aid via a community centric logistical supply chain. For example, our 2022 fleet of 30 minibuses, all terrain vehicles and ambulances helped bring over 15,000 Ukrainian women and children to safety.
EVACUATIONS
We support maternity wards with baby incubations and newborn medicines and essential supplies. In addition we provide family shelters with children’s clothes, and re-stock destroyed libraries with children’s books and pedagogy tools.
CHILD WELFARE
We strengthen civilian and military medical response training to help communities save more lives during conflicts. We donate state of the art training equipment to help scale training capacity, getting new medics on the ground faster.
TACTICAL MEDICINE
We strengthen communities by increasing their self-reliance in the event of war and natural disasters. We deploy survival technologies such as generators, personal water filters and communication solutions.
GRID INDEPENDENCE
We help prepare farmland for harvest in conflict zones by strengthening demining capacity, donating heavy machinery, and giving grants to regenerative agriculture initiatives. Additionally we provide resources for veterinary support.
