WHO WE ARE
Meet the Board
Our team is tiny, board members wear all the hats. Two scientists, one finance expert and one artist/visionary. We have 2 project managers, one who leads operations in Ukraine, and the other leads science projects.
The board members first met over 15 years ago in San Francisco, one was a postdoc at SF Academy of sciences, the other was a grad student studying bat ecology, and the other a retired artist from Cirque du Soleil. The magical collaboration gave birth to Compound Eyes a decade later...

Natacha Merritt is an American photographer, artist, and biologist. As the founder of our foundation, she has significantly contributed to humanitarian efforts, focusing on providing aid in crisis regions.

Jennifer Krauel is an ecologist studying animal migration and predator-prey interactions at high altitudes, and an activist with Scientist Rebellion working to engage scientists with climate action.

Dr. Jeremy Miller is a spider expert at the Naturalis Biodiversity Center in The Netherlands. He works on tropical biodiversity and technologies that help us more effectively collect and apply biodiversity knowledge.
